Manchester: The Salt Path + Workshop

Join us for a screening and and writing workshop ‘Making A Journey’ at HOME with Anita Sethi.

Sunday 1 June @ HOME, Manchester

Presented with Descriptive Subtitles and Audio Description.

About The Event

Following on from the screening of The Salt Path, join award-winning author Anita Sethi for a writing workshop. Anita is the Wainwright-Prize shortlisted author of I Belong Here: a Journey Along the Backbone of Britain which won a Books Are My Bag Award and was nominated for the Great Outdoors Award and Royal Society of Literature's Ondaatje Prize for writing evoking 'the spirit of a place'.  I Belong Here chronicles her epic walk along the Pennine Way and the restorative power of walking and nature on the physical and mental health.

In this workshop we'll be exploring themes including ecologies and the environment, making a journey, home, class and writing from the margins, overcoming obstacles - and how writing itself is a journey. Participants, please bring something to write with and on - whether pen and paper or digital.

Please note, the workshop must be booked separately from the screening, here

Anita and her work can be found at www.anitasethi.com

THE SALT PATH is set for UK release on 30 May.
