1580 England. Impoverished Latin tutor William Shakespeare meets free-spirited Agnes, and the pair, captivated by one another, strike up a torrid affair that leads to marriage and three children. Yet as Will pursues a budding theatre career in far-away London, Agnes anchors the domestic sphere alone. When tragedy strikes, the couple’s once-unshakable bond is tested, but their shared experience sets the stage for the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.

Join us for a special screening event of Hamnet at Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds, followed by a herbal tea tasting session with local horticulturalist, Matilya Njau.
London: Hamnet Preview + Aromatherapy Workshops
Join us for a special screening event of Hamnet at Hackney Picturehouse followed an aromatherapy workshop inspired by Agnesʼ world in collaboration with Hackney-based collective In Our Neighbourhood Apothecary at their studios. Participants will create their own botanical elixir, a deeply personal keepsake symbolising renewal, remembrance and protection. Workshop registration opens from 19 December, save your place via the form (first come, first served).

Belfast: Hamnet + Cyanotype Workshop
Join us for a special screening event of Hamnet at Queen's Film Theatre in Belfast followed by cyanotype workshop with nettle Belfast. There will be time to discuss Hamnet, while designing and creating your own memorable print related to themes of the film to take home.
