We’re pleased to share that Reclaim The Frame will be hosting a session at ICO Screening Days Online this September.

Beyond the Binary: Building a More Trans Inclusive Culture at Your Cinema

⏰ Time: 2pm - 3.15pm

If we want to welcome people across the gender spectrum, our cinemas need to embed genuine inclusion in all aspects of our spaces. In an increasingly toxic political and legal environment for trans people, it is vital that we take positive, proactive steps to create safer and more welcoming environments for both audiences and staff.

This session will explore practical actions cinemas can take to become more trans inclusive, drawing on the experience and insight of those leading this work.

We’ll hear from:

• Helios Blanc (he/him), Founder of Trans+ on Screen

• Clare Reddington (she/her), CEO of Watershed

• Indigo Korres (she/her), Programme Coordinator for Scottish Queer International Film Festival

  
  

The conversation will be moderated by Melanie Iredale (she/her), Director of Reclaim The Frame.
