IFI Spotlight returns to reignite the conversation around building a film and television culture that is truly inclusive, diverse, and accessible.

Keynote Address
Our Director, Melanie Iredale – film curator and cine-activist will be delivering the keynote address. She will speak on the importance of championing marginalised gender-led films, building communities around them, advocating for equity across film spaces, and creating safer, more inclusive environments within cinema exhibition.

Following the keynote, Melanie will join:

• Dr Susan Liddy – Women in Film and Television Ireland; Catalyst International Film Festival

• David O’Mahony – Head of Cinema Programming, Irish Film Institute

Together, they will discuss the implementation and impact of Screen Ireland and other initiatives in achieving gender parity and increasing diversity in film and television production and exhibition.
